It’s always great to have people to follow. How many of these incredible people do you know? I’m going to share leaders in faith and personal development that really impacted my life for the better. Of course, there are more than 5 people I follow but these are the ones I felt were best to share from the start.
And by the end of the article, you will, hopefully, discover a few new people to follow and how they can serve you on your journey as well.
Ready? Let’s dive in!
Leader #1: Tony Robbins
I’m almost positive that you have heard of this guy. Tony Robbins is probably one of the most well-known personal development people in the world. I’m starting with Tony Robbins because he’s familiar and because, although we want God at our center of everything, we also want resources for growing a successful business.
Tony Robbins is a #1 New York Times Best Selling Author, the nation’s #1 business and life strategist, and philanthropist amongst many other achievements and roles. I purchased Tony Robbins personal development cd set back in 2000 when I was introduced to personal development. I was told he was one of the best, so I didn’t hesitate. I had to start somewhere. Tony Robbins is who help me see that there was more to life than just all that I had been taught and I did have the potential to change the direction of my life.

Leader #2: Priscilla Shirer
Priscilla Shirer is next on my list. Priscilla is a wife, a mom, a graduate of Theological Seminary, an Actress, Author and much more. She has a heart for sharing the message of God with anyone. I first learned about Priscilla when our church was starting a new bible study called Armor of God. Listening to Priscilla on those videos was so impactful and I feel God’s presence so strongly when she speaks.
Having God at the foundation of who we are is so important. I believe that in order to build a strong life you have to have a strong foundation. Priscilla Shrier has many amazing books, tools and talks on focusing on God for all things.

Leader #3: Stormie Omartian
Stormie Omartian is a woman that knows how to pray, and I believe takes prayer to an entire other level. You must hear her story. It is powerful and inspiring. My first encounter with Stormie Omartian was reading “The Power of a Praying Wife.” When someone tells me that in order for me to pray for my husband to change, I have to step back and pray for myself first, I wasn’t quite sure about this.
As I read this book and prayed these prayers, I started to see changes, not only in myself, but in my husband also. He had no clue what I was reading in this book. He just knew I was praying for him since I kept the book on my bedside table. This was the first I had ever heard for her and I’m beyond grateful that I did. It should be a book you read one section of every day. Then the next month you should read it again.
She also have one that is “The Power of a Praying Husband” and many more.

Leader #4: Dr. Caroline Leaf
Now I won’t be the least bit surprised if you have not heard for Dr. Caroline Leaf. She is a communication pathologist, cognitive neuroscientist, with a Masters and PhD in communication pathology and, and, and…..you should check out her link to find out more about her.
Dr. Caroline Lead inspired me to start learning more about our minds, how they work, and how to use that information to help my readers and clients. I am now learning about mind mapping, re-training your brain, and getting my masters certification in life coaching, certification in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and certification and mastery certification in neurolinguistic therapy (NLP), as well as learning neuroplasticity.
Knowing that scripture says there is life and death in the tongue and that Dr. Caroline Leaf talks about how the things we speak to others can not only impact them but us as well was so intriguing. She has such great wisdom and knowledge.

Leader #5: Gary Vaynerchuk
Last and certainly not least is Gary Vaynerchuk. Now you may or may not have heard of him. If you have you know he curses, is bold, is blunt, and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks of him in a good way. Gary V., as he is mostly known by his followers, is a husband, father, investor, author and serial entrepreneur who was born in Russia. He came to America with his family and from a young age was able to see things, patterns, and predict the potential or lack of in business.
He has a big heart, loves, people, and enjoys being able to help people have the knowledge they need to get after it in life. He will also be honest and say that in a room of 10,000 people, he knows that 90% of them will leave that event and never apply anything he says.
I think you either love him or hate him. I love listening to Gary V. I enjoy hearing his perspective and I love that he interacts with everyday people and not just those who are millionaires or that can make him rich.
